PG India Education

Shiksha means education in Hindi, and so it’s a fitting that P&G’s flagship community program in India is called P&G Shiksha. The program has been improving access to holistic education for underserved children since 2005.

Through its various interventions, P&G Shiksha has supported over 2,300 schools impacting more than 2 million children.

The outbreak of the pandemic posed unprecedented challenges to the education of children. During this time, P&G Shiksha continued to focus on its mission to provide underprivileged children access to holistic education.

One such example, is P&G Shiksha’s intervention with partner Educational Initiatives wherein they are trying to minimize learning outcomes in children using Mindspark, an adaptive learning software. Pre-COVID, children learned using the Mindspark software in schools.

With the outbreak of the pandemic, the software was upgraded to make it available on mobile so that children could learn using Mindspark at home. In the lockdown, P&G Shiksha reached out to nearly 50,000 children remotely to improve learning outcomes using this software.

P&G Shiksha is an example of how we’re stepping up to Lead with Love.
